Dennis Villanueb is one of my favorite directors. This anime was the first movie I saw. Then all the movies including Incendies, Prisoner, Arrival have been seen. However, there is nothing new to him. Enemy is one of the movies that I have seen that has left a deep impression on my mind and has made my head spin. Today I will talk a little about that movie.
The subconscious is the dictator within us. If you can’t awaken your own consciousness, you will probably leave everything to that dictatorial subconscious and be controlled by it. And then maybe your normal life will be boring. For this your dictatorial subconscious will want to do something different. But annoyance and a desire to do something different can distort your mindset. And once it starts to move in this direction, it will start to embrace you on all sides. The web will continue to weave in your brain. And once you get caught in this trap, it will never be possible for you to get out of it. Repeated attempts to get you out of control of your subconscious will lead to psychological conflict. And in that conflict, there is a slim possibility of breaking the web of the brain and coming out, but in fact, he took a break from his real liberation. In fact man can never be free from his distorted mindset.

Directed by Dennis Villanueb and starring Jack Jillenhall, the anime movie is based on the novel “Double” by Nobel laureate Portuguese author Jose Samarago. The plot of the movie revolves around Adam, a history teacher who lives a normal life, but it doesn’t seem like it at all. He lectures in class and returns home. Girlfriend has sex with Mary. She doesn’t go to the movies. One day one of his colleagues told him about a film. Sitting down to watch that film, he discovers that he is an actor in a very small character in the film, looking exactly like him. But he has never worked in cinema, it is strange! So he tries to find that actor.
The movie screenplay is awesome. The cinematography is also great. Color grading is pretty sleepy. Jack Jillenhall is impeccable in acting. So beautifully portrayed two characters! Director Villeneuve’s work in making the anime deserves praise. Dark environment, spiders, psychological tension, trying to explain different forms of metaphor, etc. are remarkable in one word. Of course, the film is incomprehensible, but the movie in the genre of psychological mystery thriller filled with metaphors is really enjoyable and also a must watch.
