Talking about the 200 million USD budget American action drama film “Mulan” produced by Disney Pictures. It is a live action adaptation of Disney’s 1997 animated film of the same name, based on the Chinese folk tale “The Ballad of Mulan”.
It’s hard to find people who aren’t familiar with Disney. An equally favorite Disney cartoon series or animation for kids and adults alike. I am no exception to this, watching cartoons and animations made by Disney since my childhood, I have no idea how many nights I have spent dreaming between them.
Remember “Snow White”? Who had seven bamun and magic mirror? Or the blonde “Rapunzel”? We all know little about Charles Dodgson’s Alice in Wonderland; Among the characters in the Disney-created Fairy Tales, my favorite characters are “Mermaid Ariel” and “Bella” from Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin’s “Princess Jasmine” and “Cinderella”.
Finally, the day the trailer for “Mulan” was released, I rewinded it hundreds of times. And I fell in love with Lee Wife in the character “Fa Mulan”; Warrior sharp blade in hand with red dress! It is not possible to say what the charm was in the trailer and poster. Added to that are the two great actors, Donny Yen and Jet Lee, for me, as if it’s “rain without clouds” for me!

With so much fantasy, I was so excited to see a new live-action adaptation of Disney’s 36th animated movie “Mulan” with the same name. Last week I downloaded five files from Torrent, none of which had a movie. Later I found out that the movie has not been released world wide yet! I was disappointed!
That’s why I heard yesterday that “Mulan” has left; After burning a lot of wood and straw, I downloaded “Mulan” of about five GB size and finally sat down to watch “Mulan” with sky-high demand!

Thousands of questions were popping up in my head even at the beginning, “Will expectations be met”, “Or will I see doom”, “Don’t cry with so much hope” and so on and so forth! Eventually all questions came to an end; I also finished the movie with success – I should have said ‘I didn’t see’, I swallowed with a lot of difficulty – what else!
Alas! What did Disney do! Despite having such a good script, impossibly beautiful backstory, what would not have happened if the Chinese had not given the scene of a supernatural flying fight! Exactly why I avoid Tamil commercial movies is a reflection of that. The younger sister laughed from the side when she saw an action scene! Later I finished the rest of the movie with my “brain” aside and enjoyed it a bit.
Since it is a brand new movie, I will not give any spoiler at all. But I just want to give some idea about what I have seen, what I have understood.
Personal comments
The costume designer should have experimented a little more without the diagler, maybe it would have been better if the costumes were based on the design of the costumes. Absolutely not that bad, but I expected better. The cinematography of the film is absolutely going on – so it seems that Mandy Walker, who won the “Satellite Award for Best Cinematography” for his film “Australia” in 2007, is not expected to do such a crude job, at least I didn’t. The visual effects were moderate, not high quality at all. I didn’t even remember the background music. It would have been nice if Lee Wife’s performance as “Fa Mulan” had been a little more lively. In some places he has been treated like a “dead corpse” just as if he had been taught by a pet bird! And after searching for “Jet Li”, he finally found out that he is the “King” of China in the movie !! And Donnie Yen, known as the “IP Man”, was not even mentioned; If too much, the duration of his character display was 10-15 minutes! Even though its duration is longer than “Jet Lee”, there is a wail somewhere! The mind finally became bad!
Final Verdict: 4.5 / 10
I will not say that the movie is nonsense. But failed to show anything as expected. So if you watch the movie, you must watch it only by removing the picky attitude, then I hope you will not be so disappointed.
